My Story
Laryssa developed a love for the game of Volleyball at a very young age. Her dad was a player and started peppering with her around the age of 6 and right from the start, she was hooked. She grew up in a family of players (Dad, Brother and Sister all played) and spent many a nights in small town Idaho setting up a home-made grass net and playing in the city park, just the family, till the sun went down. Because there was no beach in Idaho, she participated in many grass doubles tournaments starting around the age 16.
She played as a 4 year starter at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, where she finished her Senior year 3rd in Digs per game in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Laryssa was also a three year GNAC All-Academic Winner. It had always been a dream of hers to move to California and play on the beach. In 2008, she was able to make that dream a reality when she packed her car and drove from Idaho to California with what she could fit.
Laryssa has been playing on the domestic pro beach circuit for the past 8 years, with multiple finishes in the top 10 on the domestic AVP Tour, and she would love your support as she continues to strive for growth and improvement each day in this exciting journey.
